A rare opportunity to hear Professor Vine Deloria, Jr. offer his expertise on indigenous treaties for the 2005 Northwest Indian Fisheries Treaty Conference.  Professor Deloria, Standing Rock Sioux, was internationally respected as a lawyer and advocate for indigenous peoples' rights and one of the most prolific and influential scholars of the twentieth century on American Indian law and policy, history and philosophy. Professor Deloria was one of the founding faculty of the Indigenous Peoples Law and Policy Program at the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law.
